We have a couple of larger carts like those Gorilla carts. I would bring those in & fill them up. LOL!!!
I would grab computers, clothes, shoes, jewelry, clutch, thyroid pills, cash, my new made in cookware, tub with family photo albums & my car.
I'm sure DH will grab his boots, phone, cigars, liquor & coffee/maker. Probably his Louis L'AMour books too.
LOL!!!

Thank you. These are a necessity in forests. A friend of mine has one of those huge backpacks that is filled with camping type supplies, a first aid kit, instant meals, simple bedding. She could live a week out of that thing.
Unfortunately, we had a trial run earlier this summer. A fire started just over the mountain from our house. We had to grab everything and go. The time for response is very limited. Traffic becomes an issue. Gathering things is not an option. Besides, no matter how much thought you have put into your escape, panic happens when you are told to evacuate and thinking with clarity is difficult. We were very fortunate. The first responders from every agency attacked the fire, planes and helicopters were able to fly, and the ground crews established a perimeter in very quick time. The fire was easily accessible by major roadways. We were very grateful.

Important papers, our Bibles, supplements, cosmetics, meds, clothes. I could pack our cooler in two minutes. I already have ice blocks frozen. The dog would be standing next to the pick up because that is where he always is when we are packing reminding us not to forget him.
Dogs are the best - I love them so much!
I love them, too, @Puppy Lips . When I look into their faces, it makes my heart swell. I love your nic and I love puppy lips.

With only 15 minutes to evacuate, I doubt I'd be able to even think clearly! My 2 cats would scramble if we were panicked, and there's no way I could get them in carriers in that timeframe. I'd have to help DH get his inhaler, oxygen, his scooter and my purse/his wallet and a cell phone. That would be about all I could do in 15 minutes if I'm lucky. Forget the jewelry, photos and all that other stuff! Fortunately I don't see this happenng where I live, but never say never! Makes a person think about different situations....

DH would be with me, so I'd grab Shadow, our Love Nugget!

My three cats and my purse (phone and car & house keys are always in my purse). Important documents are in a fireproof safe. DH and I were just discussing this because of the Florida condo collapse.
He knows I wouldn't leave without the cats. We all go together or we stay. I would not abandon them to their fate.

We have a fully stocked RV on our property. I would grab my dogs, their food, my DH and the safe...it has important papers and plenty of cash in in. We could be out in way less than 15 minutes. We always keep the gas tank full on the vehicle we use for towing.
It is important to keep your gas tank full, or you won't be going too far in any emergency.
We had to evacuate during the three mile island emergency with a five year old, a 6 month old baby and I was pregnant with baby #3.
The gas lines were long...
