Last week, I registered to get a vaccine appointment and was contacted Monday that I should be there on Thursday at a certain time, 15 minutes before my appointment.

NC seems quite organized contacting people by email or  phone and setting up appointments at many convenient locatons. When they changed it to age 65 and over, I'm a little concerned whether the 2nd vaccine will be available when it's due. I'll just have to take that chance.

I wish I could say the same for New York.  What a crazy mess.

I'm in Kentucky and registered for the vaccine over a week ago and have heard NOTHING.  And no way to find anything out.  They say don't call or re-register or you'll lose you place in line.  So I just sit here, wondering if I'll ever get called for an appointment.  Very disappointing.

Man plans. God laughs.

My second dose is scheduled for Feb. 9. Im in the over 65 group as are 4 million of my fellow Floridians 😎😉 the worst part of the process was trying to get through on the phone to schedule the first shot. The actual event was a "drive by shooting" as I like to call it. Well organized, smooth and easy. Yes I too am keeping fingers crossed for availability of the drug for my booster next month

Got the first dose yesterday. At registration the girl took my email address and immediately sent me a link to a My Chart site to sign up &  log into to follow another link to arrange for 2nd appt. Once I got that out of the way my 2nd shot date came up automatically and a choice of places to arrange a time to get it. If your first choice had no time slots available you kept trying other places till you found one with a time slot available on your recommended date.

Someone else I know who got their first shot a few weeks before me at the same place I did was given a date and time right then and there. I guess in-between the two of us they changed the procedure.

 Maryland is no better- same proticol . If you even get your name on an " imaginary list  than  you are supposed to just wait  from a call from an unknown person. The staff at the health dept's are essentailly no help if you are having trouble signing up via the internet site .  Continues to be  a messy rollout by the State of Maryland - it's the State's fault  and the local county Health dept.

I was able to get an appointment for the first dose, but it's a month in advance.  We signed up on line and the system kept crashing.  70,000 seniors in the county trying to sign up for 30,000 doses.  We can't sign up for the 2nd dose yet so I don't know how that's going to happen.

I really don't have much faith that I'll be getting the vaccine anytime soon. Everwhere I registered it says that I won't hear back from anyone for 3-4 WEEKS! Every delivery we're getting here to MI they note that it's much less than anticipated. Woman Sad

@skatting44

I'm in Maryland and understood they were still in the 1b phase, which is over 75 and others.

I'm in the 1c group, but have seen nothing about registering.

I've been tracking a few places with no luck.

May I ask where you found your info?  Thanks.

I just scheduled mine for next month. Today is the first day for 65-74 year olds. No problems scheduling, just had to hit refresh a few time before the location came up. I chose 2 am (yes you read that right 2am) because from what I've heard early morning hours are faster and less waiting. We are in Arizona and the location is 7 miles from my house.
