There are so many huge old trees that have been uprooted in the cemeteries and at the capitol building. Other areas have had big trees crashing into historic houses and many downed power lines. So far 45 semi trucks have been tipped over on the highways. These have been hurricane force winds. It will dimish a little over the next few hours and pick up again later tonight. They're urging people to not start cleanup today because it's just too dangerous, and more damage is likely to occur tonight. It's so sad to see those trees uprooted with over 6 ft root balls. I lost power just briefly, but over 160,000 people are without power.

The wind blasted through here last night. I think I saw it was gusting at around 60mph. I worry when it gets really windy. I have large trees on my property and some of them have already been cut back as much as possible. But I still worry about them toppling over....yikes.

@Scooby Doo My son lives in the Boulder, CO area. On Sunday he texted me the 10-day weather forecast. I couldn't believe it! Monday's high was 93; the low was 32. 😳 Today's HIGH is 35 and tonight's low will be 26. They are expecting 6 inches is snow. But the temperatures will be back in the 80s by next week. Cray-zeee!🤪

@Scooby Doo I hope you stay safe without any problems! Our temps here in Denver dropped 60 degrees within 24 hours, yesterday was in the 90's, temps for the next 24 hours stay around 34 degrees. The weather people did miss by forecasting lots of snow, none so far at least here in the metro area.
