The storm from Canada has arrived.  Yesterday the temp was in the upper 90's and right now it's 57.  Here in northern Utah we have wind gusts in the 70's and some have reached 97.  Trees have been uprooted, power outages, schools are closed, semi trucks on the highway have blown over.  Busses and trains are out of service due to debris on the road and tracks. It's snowing in the high mountains and in Wyoming.  There was a rush to pick the fruit in the orchards before the wind blew all the peaches and apples off the trees. There's not much rain in the storm, just cold wind.  I'm ready to turn on the furnace.

@Scooby Doo

Our local weather in the Maryland/DC area was talking about the storms in your area.  One of the retired meteorologists that was on TV for years has settled in Wyoming.

If it is any comfort, we've had crazy weather in the past few weeks...rain, high winds and even tornadoes!

Hoping you manage to escape any storm damage.

I'd love to visit your beautiful state some day!

Oh man.............Crazy weather lately.  That derecho that tore through and now this early cold snap.  😳😳😳😳😳😳

Here in Central Illinois, we had thunder and lightening for most of the evening and night. A couple inches of rain too, but we really needed it.

Sure has been a weird year...........

Here in Colorado we were 90' yesterday. Tonight there will be 1"-4" of snow on the ground and freezing. I had to drain my sprinklers and hoses already...that's just waaay too early.

My friend, who lives in Western Wyoming, sent me a photo of a bucking bronc in a rodeo yesterday and it's snowing so hard you can hardly see the horse.

Here in the Albuquerque area the wind started blowing about 11am this morning.  Not too bad so far.  Temp to drop over the day.

@Scooby Doo  Nebraska is experiencing the same weather pattern you are. We need the rain and are welcoming it, but the cold weather is far too early and has a bitter bite to it with the wind.

We're anxious for a high of 70 next Sunday . . . sounds crazy, doesn't it?
