Re: THE #1 ITEM BEING PUSHED FOR CHRISTMAS

My viewing goes wayyyyyyy down between October and December.  But I would agree that electronics seem to be the big push this year--Fire tablets, Alexa, Ring and Nest doorbells, Beats headphones

Re: THE #1 ITEM BEING PUSHED FOR CHRISTMAS

Its hard to pinpoint one particular item.  I do know that I do not want to see one more Amazon product presented.  I'm over everything Amazon (yes I'm in the minority but just can't stand the company)

Seems to me like they are trying to offer a little bit of everything so they hit everyone's interests

I don't know @Shanus , the programming seems to be boring me to tears this Christmas.

@LindaSal I have flipped over to see what's selling, but it's been so much junky gadgets, I have not watched 5 minutes of anything. I do believe this is THE worse ever Christmas programming in several yrs. But then, I'm so bored with QVC in general, I've cut my watching time by 95% or more.

Re: THE #1 ITEM BEING PUSHED FOR CHRISTMAS

Josie, It Cosmetics as usual with Mukluks and lots of Gourmet Holiday thrown in, oh and Snow Joe stuff .........

I don't mind the Beauty products, but I would like to see some other brands other than It and Josie all of the time........Maybe more bath and body things.....

To be honest I haven't been watching much of the Home Shopping Channels because it is too repetitive this time of year anyway...

Whew, thought QVC was showing stuff the rest of the world must really want for Christmas and it seemed CRAZY. In 70 years, our family has never exchanged this kind of cwap! We would be boycotting if QVC was the only place to shop for the holidays and birthdays. The only purchases I've made were LDO's whisper knits (for myself and a sweater for my DIL's stocking). Gifts were purchased in Lincoln . . . keeping our own economy strong and giving everyone exactly what they wanted! (Santa shopped in Nebraska, too!)

Money screams; wealth whispers.

@Shanus.  I think the only thing they have left in the warehouse is a measuring tape that they've peddled endlessly today.  I wish y'all would hurry up and buy them all so we don't have to sit through another presentation.

How was the blizzard, Shanus?  Did you lose electricity?  We're expecting the next big storm thru here tonight but for us, it'll be mostly high winds and much colder.

Hello @Kachina624. We had 8”-10” of snow w/ freezing rain top of it. Still cold below 32 at night, so some schools still closed or delayed...black ice dangerous! The only good thing was that I had the Girls for the weekend while ds & dil  went to wedding and plane home was delayed giving me an extra day!!! Be safe in your changing weather.

Well those laser tape measure thingies sure flipped my skirt.  Bought a dozen.

Kidding.

@Cakers3  Lol I grew up w/ a similar Southern expression: when you did not get overwhelmed by something, you’d say, “It didn’t blow my skirt up”.

Although there are slim pickings, last year’s winner seemed to be Poopourri! It was on constantly. What a disgusting gift to give or receive!!!

And let's not forget IT and the snow scraper that they showed us how to "use" this morning.

@Junebug54  LOL  It's easy to use a snow scraper on artificial snow.

And I'm pretty sure Carolyn doesn't park her car outside, either. lmao

QVC's idea of "gifts" just isn't the same as mine.  Today it's all gift shows it seems.

@NickNack

Today, the Q were advertising ladders.  I certainly would consider them as great gifts, but would have a hard time wrapping them!  scratch head.gif
