Shabbat Shalom and happy Friday!
Cataract on 1 eye late yesterday (other eye next Thursday) and wearing a plastic patch taped on, eye still half dilated and wearing my readers...my regular glasses don't fit over it. So, hope this goes well.
Just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a Happy Friday and a wonderful, restful weekend.

Good Shabbos, usually the patch is removed 24 hours later or even sooner. I had mine done 3 months apart. Used compounded drops.

The hospital i went to gave me the usual 3 bottles for free, but I paid 40 extra for the compounded, only one bottle to work with, it was worth every penny. Wait until you see how good you can see once the patch and shield are off !! I saw dirty places in my home I didnt even know existed and more borwn spots on my body I never knew existed too. I had no anesthesia, just the numbing eye drops. didnt feel a thing. that was my choice. They tell you to use the shield for sleeping for a week, but it bothered my skin so much, was allergic to the tape, I didnt use the shield, just slept on the other side for 2 weeks. My doc said OK to that.

@Shelbelle I'm a chicken and wanted to be "put out" as much as safely possible. Even took hearing aids off so wouldn't hear anything. Lol
Last night DH rolled up 2 blankets and tied with twine...one on each side...so I didn't roll over. I have tape for "sensitive skin" (like a paper tape)...adhesives take a layer of my skin off.
Enjoy your weekend.

@Puzzle Piece It's a good thing. Shabbat is sabbath for Jewish people that begins sundown Friday until sundown on Saturday. 24 hrs. of supposed rest and prayer for the more religious sects. Two candles are lit and usually we have a special family dinner. Wine and a challah (braided egg bread similar to brioche) are customary.
Truly religious do not ride in cars, work or even turn on light switches, cook, etc. They make a big pot of stew or soup and put the stove flame on very low to keep warm for the 24 hours...a tea kettle as well for coffee, heating bottles, etc.
We're not THAT religious.
Thanks for asking. Have a wonderful weekend.
