In the last 10 years I have had maybe 3 problems.  All were corrected when I made contact with them.

My sister sent me a gift and said it was being sent by Amazon. She kept getting notified it had been delivered but I never got it...Amazon said they shipped it three times. I told her to just get a refund and stop wasting her time. Amazon has grown too fast and still hasn’t figured out that the devil is in the details.

I order a lot from Amazon, and have never had delivery problems.

The one and only problem I ever had in all these years was a DVD that didn't play correctly.  They sent a replacement, which I received the following day, and they also gave me a credit to be used in the future because of the inconvenience.  That was a few years ago.

But no delivery problems ever, including items I've ordered recently.  I have a lot of friends and family who also order frequently from Amazon, and I've never heard of an experience like the OP's.

I have been a Prime member for appriximately a year and a half.  During the two month period leading up to Christmas Amazon lost 3 Prime Packages.  They ultimately made re-shipped them but they were all delivered mush later than orginally expected.  Now in the past 10 DAYS they have lost THREE Prime packages and sent a wrong item on a fourth order.  They reshipped two of the packages.  The items on the third package is no longer available.  I have reordered the correct item on the fourth order and am returning the incorrect item.  For the inconvenience over all the lost packages, on January 30th I was informed they were giving me a $25.00 credit on my account...... so far it hasn't shown up.  Is anyone else having similar problems with Amazon?  BTW, all the lost packages were supposed to be delivered by Amazon's own delivery service.  I never had had issues with Amazon before.

I found my neighbor,s pkg. Tossed in her bushes when I was walking the dog.  It was visible and anyone walking by could have picked it up.  It,s the Prime drivers that deliver or don,t.  So far, I have not had a ptoblem.

My son contacted Amazon, and told them unless something was shipped, via the mail or UPS etc ,he was going to stop buying from them

He needs to know what day his package will arrive, and a general time. With these car deliveries you never know when it will arrive ,and that doesn't work for him

They told him ,they would put a note in his file ,indicating ,this is how they must deliver ,to him

For people who have never had delivery problems or never heard of anyone having problems, you should have

read the now defunct Amazon forums.  I did read them, and I was shocked because, at that time, I had never experienced a delivery problem myself.

Consider yourself lucky.

@cherry  .. I doubt that will do any good.  I have a  sign on my door to leave all packages in the back in the event no one is home.  I don't want my packages in the front where anyone can steal them. I complained to Amazon about their drivers leaving my packages in the front.    I was told that they were making a note of it.  Didn't help at all.    Well , it seems like only Amazon Drivers don't know how to read because the USPS. UPS, FedEx, etc all leave our packages in the back.

I don't doubt that other people have had problems.

But my own experience has been that Amazon is far superior to any other company I have ever ordered from.  In every way.   If it ever happens that I find them to be unreliable, then I'll rethink my choices.  But after years of ordering frequently with no delivery problems at all, I feel pretty confident about ordering from Amazon.

First off I am not a prime member and will never be one. I doubt I will ever order from them again. last year ordered a brand new Samsung tablet S4 to be sent to my daughter in college. it got there alright but, they sent the wrong tablet this one was older model and was refurbished. It was a nightmare to get it all resolved it took weeks someone else whoever ordered the old model took full advantage of my daughters new one. Amazon get your act together already!!!

We have had no problems and order almost every week. Ordered a great new shower head a few days ago and it arrived the next day. Delivery is usually on of those rented Enterprise vans or such. Always left on the front porch. We are not situated on a road conducive to theft.
