Nope, haven't had any problems with shipping from my Amazon Prime account, and that includes shipping to Alaska during the Christmas season. Everything arrived as scheduled and in tact. Very happy with Amazon.

@Rockycoast

Same here.  I've been an Amazon customer since the 90s ... Prime since it started.

I order a lot of stuff both for myself and things shipped to others.  Never had an issue.

We only had one problem about 5 months ago.   Delivery service said they didn't deliver because they felt threatened by our dogs.  We don't have dogs.  We told Amazon to cancel the order, but they delivered it anyway.  I don't we experience many problems because living rural there aren't a lot of people ordering from Amazon in our region.

Sounds like there might be a problem with your local distribution center.  Last fall we had a series of problems with Amazon orders and deliveries.  Packages were left on the driveway, in the bushes, tossed wherever by Amazon delivery service.  Also received wrong items, duplicate orders, and late arrivals.  I had multiple conversations with Amazon customer service, all of whom were very polite, but couldn't explain why the service was poor.  In a conversation with an Amazon IT specialist regarding a strange email I received, it was disclosed that they were having difficulty filling positions at the distribution center which includes the delivery drivers.  Fortunately, by the Christmas rush, they got their act together and we didn't have a single problem.   It's possible, in desperation to fill jobs in your area, less than stellar employees have been hired who are either incompetent or dishonest.  Hope Amazon improves your service.

Wow! I'd probably give up on Amazon is I were the OP!  What a mess!  I'm one of the lucky ones.  I can't recall ever having lost packages.  I will say that a couple of orders took longer than usual around Christmas time, and those items that are not shipped directly by Amazon often take a bit longer.  But I'm generally quite pleased with Prime.

I had Prime since shortly after its onset.  I did not renew.  I have ordered when order total was $25 or more or subscribe and save orders.  I seriously doubt that I shall ever order from them again!

Ever since Amazon began their own delivery service, I've had problems.  Some packages were dropped off curb-site (house is on hill high up and set back from street); once packages were thrown over a five-foot fence! A few times I've gotten very nice delivery people who would leave the package by back-door gate, which required driving up my driveway (apx 250'), walking over to gate (apx 20'), turning into the turnaround:  no big deal - right!

The last and final order was dropped off at the foot of the front stairs (apx 25 steps?). I never would have known the package was delivered as I could not hear nor see it from my house, but hapenned to check shipping status!

Since I had previously notified Amazon that all probllems were encountered when delivery was out of their Milford, MA warehouse each time and was never corrected, I decided to no longer to business with a company that was totally unresponsive to customers' concerns.

Wished they'd go back to their original shipment methods, but guess that will never happen.  I suggest not joining Prime.  Actually after not renewing Prime, and hitting the extended free shipping, I received orders sooner!

Buyer Beware - they're just not what they used to be!

Nope, what are the odds of all that happening to one customer in such a short period of time?  I love my Amazon!  I'm not over joyed that the Amazon drivers now text that they delivered a package and then leave it on the top step and sprint back to the car.  I'm working so somethings I don't see that text for a while.  But the package is always there, nothing has ever gone missing.

I agree @chrystaltree . .that is why I am so upset and frustrated.  Never had a problem with them before.

Perhaps it's not Amazon but the temp help UPS hires during holiday season.  Case in Point:  A tenant of mine - a college engineering student - received pkg before Christmas.  Didn't check the address TO:   opened - it was a mini-grill plate and assumed it was gift from his aunt.  His home is in NJ - went home for "C" and thanked auntie - nope she didn't buy him a grill.  Grill had arrived a month earlier - the Mom called me to see if we could go in his apt - take the grill to UPS and let them deal with Amazon.  Did that - assume it was shipped back to "A".  It was somebody's gift but my honest tenant didn't want to keep it.

Delivery people are just throwing these boxes left & right - not close checking the ship to address.

@fthunt  .. it never happens with Amazon packages delivered by USPS or UPS ... only the ones that are to be delivered by Amazon's own delivery service.

@Boehm Collector,  I am a longtime Prime member and after years of mostly smooth sailing, I started having problem after problem with Amazon local delivery (AMZL). This happened about a year ago.

Problems included delivery to a neighbor (the neighbor kindly brought it to me a few days later); claiming delivery when the package was actually lost; claiming they could not find my address (the only one I have ever used).  All these problems were with AMZL.

I got refunds, of course, and haven’t had any troubles recently, but I have completely lost faith in AMZL.

Yes, @ Montana  .. .AMZL is the service that is loosing all my packages.

@hildarumpole  .. it must be our local distribution center.  In the chat I had today, I was told that they were looking into it since all the last packages involved the same delivery service.
