@hsawaknow

Oh, this breaks my heart and I am so sorry. I also have a 10 yr. old lab and he was recently diagnosed with cancer. So I do understand your pain - lots of people do understand. I so dread the day when I have to have my sweet golden lab put down. Dogs - unlike people - only give us love.Heart

I know you are very sad and again, I am so sorry. I would give you a hug if I could.

@hsawaknow- animals really are the best. I’m sincerely hoping that even though they’re gone from this life, we’ll get to see them all again someday. I have to believe that this will happen! And I sincerely hope you’re feeling a little bit better every day. It doesn’t ever go away, the feeling of loss or the sadness, but sometimes, with a little time, it gets a bit less painful. I hope you’re doing well!

Thank you for your sweet words. I was looking at his pictures, seeing him as a puppy and remembering what a great gentle dog he was. My son who was 2 at the time would sit with him and lay on him and Bo would just let him touch him and play with his tail. Bo was a happy Lab and everybody loved him.

He is now on the mantle on the fireplace with our other Lab Duke and our mutt Sammy. All at the Bridge, waiting till I see them again.

@hsawaknow..  😥 I have 2 Lab mixes.  I think Labs/Lab mixes are such sweet, loyal, gentle dogs.

I am so sorry for your loss and know exactly how you are feeling. I am sending (((hugs)) and comfort your way. You are not alone and pet owners do understand your grief.  I was lucky to have had two very rambunctious Silky Terrier Sisters for fifteen years and lost them within a year of each other. My heart is still broken. I miss them everyday they were my harry children and I loved them with all my heart. There isn't anything I wouldn't have done for them, they brought me such happiness.   I have not been able to bring myself to replace them I cannot go through the loss again.  I thank God every day for letting me have them to care for as long as I did.  They were very healthy loving companions but old age caught up with them.  My home is very quiet and empty without them. I hope God brings your comfort and peace in the days to come.

To love a dog is one of life’s greatest blessings. To lose one is one of the saddest.
