        I keep my screen doors - front and back - locked all the time.  I might open the doors to get fresh air, but the screen is always locked!!  If someone rings door bell, I can stand on the inside of the door to see who is ringing. If I don't know them, don't give them a chance to talk, I just say "not interested" and close the door!!
