Lemons are life! We have a bountiful Meyer lemon tree, so grateful and get to share our treasure with friends annually. Here is how I start my day every morning on an empty stomach:
1 cp+ hot water
juice 1 Meyer lemon (we make cubes of our harvest so we have them year around)
chopped fresh ginger
as often as it is in stock - fresh chopped turmeric
shake of cinnamon
(If I'm out the door...just squeeze a lemon in the hot water and go)
steep for about 15 minutes
blend in the Vitamix...strain
Enjoy and greet the day!

I squeeze fresh lemon juice every morning to combat the gout. You have to do it
on an empty stomach, but it works for me.. A little tart but I'm addicted to it now.
Thanks for the post.

i always have lots of lemons and limes in the house.
for those who enjoy cocktails......make your own sweet and sour mix. it is so much better than the bottled stuff!
boil a cup of water. turn off and add a cup of sugar. let cool and add a cup of freshly squeezed lemon/lime juice. refrigerate. you will never buy the botled stuff again! use this for great margaritas also.....just add some extra freshly squeezed lime juice to the glass or pitcher.

I have been squeezing the juice of a lemon in about 28 ounces of hot water every morning for the past week and drinking it on empty stomach. I started using regular fresh lemons and then I tried a Meyer lemon one day. I like both. I think I may have been over doing it because my stomach has been bothering me. I'm taking a few days off and when I start again, I will just drink a cup of the mixture.
I love to slice a lemon, add salt, and eat. Yum!
