Irises are gorgeous! On my way to shopping yesterday I noticed all the forsythias, daffodils and azaleas in bloom. I live in a condo and we have what we call an umbrella tree in the center. Anybody know what the real name of it is? It has all over little white flowers on it.

Thanks 😊💜

The very next day, I had to repost my pics in another thread because I woke up to tons of blooms.  I just couldn't resist lol.

Im not familiar with that tree, but I'll try and look it up.  Does it bloom with any flowers or stay green?

Yes it has tiny white flowers all over but will not last. They fall off and green the rest of the summer. I see quite a few of these here on the east coast.

Sounds like you might be talking about the Umbrella Magnolia tree.  I know they grow indigenous to the Eastern US.  They're official name is the Magnolia Tripetata.

I found a few pics to see if it's what you're talking about.  It has to be because I've never heard of any other Umbrella Tree.  I hope this helps.❤️

Years and years ago, we were walking around a neighborhood which had/has a lake.....

Anyway, the most beautiful magnolia trees......We asked the property owners the name of this particular magnolia tree.....

She said 'Tulip Magnolia' trees.  Each magnolia flower is shaped like a tulip!

Well, 'low and behold' (another saying that just popped into my mind)......We have a Tulip Magnolia in our own neighborhood.

It's ready to fully bloom!

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

No that's not it. This literally looks like an open umbrella with only one main stem. The flowers remind me of small daisies.

@ROMARY

I love ❤️ trees too!  That's one thing I don't have, but really wish I did.  I used to always get a few magnolia flowers from a friends tree.  They smell heavenly.😊🌸

I'm sorry this tree isnt it.  I'll have to think on it longer or maybe search because I'm not sure I'm familiar with it.💝🌸

My white peach tree looks very much like a really green umbrella, but the flowers don't look like that.
