I guess I've been lucky with Fedex, I've had an account with them for over 30 years, my monthly bill with them is usually well into 4 figures, I ship and receive many packages with them each week. The only time I ever had a problem was with FedEx ground delivering one of those dinner subscriptions. The driver insisted on leaving the box at our mailbox which is a rural delivery box on a state highway. The day he did so in a pouring rain storm I blew my stack. He never delivered to me again, not sure what happened to him.
We're lucky, our UPS driver is great as well, an even our regular USPS man is very good, the fill-ins are not always so great.

Set up an account on Fedex.com. You can then set notifications about delivery, tracking, where to put deliveries, or whatever. 

UPS, FedEx, USPS are not obligated to ring a doorbell. They have enough to do without babysitting someone's deliveries.

Perhaps Q or you accidentally set it to delivery to another location. Big deal. Unless the recipient is disabled, go get it.

Life is too short to be this upset.

@DrakesMomma   I have a delivery guy who does the same thing. Scared the dickens out of me the first time he hammered on my door like that. Fortunately most of my packages don't come by Fed-Ex.
