@Luvsmyfam  "I'm not looking to make videos,but just browsing.before I go to the trouble of setting up a account"

You do not need to set up an account to browse.

My son sends me some of those videos and the animal ones are hilarious!  If you want to laugh at lighthearted stuff, especially animal silliness, it's fun to watch those.

I concur with @Desert Lily.  Do your research first.  You should think twice before using it.  It was created & is owned by China.

From what I've read China is watching everything that goes on in tic tock.

I think it is for any age.  More and more people seem to be following it.  I check in occasionally.  Some of the videos are quite good.

@stellabystarlight    I especially like their amazing animal videos.  They've shown animals doing things I'd thought would be impossible and some are just so cute.  Ever see a tortoise chase a ball or a dog do yoga beside his owner, move for move?

I think the primary concern is for children who don't have enough sense or supervision not to post personal or family information.  I'm on Facebook all the time but I never post anything personal, not even a reference to a relative's birthday or special occasion.  I mostly look and occasionally comment on subjects of general interest.

As with anything online, you must use discretion and common sense but paranoia is not necessary.

@Kachina624  I do love animal videos and have watched some amazing ones especially on You Tube.  I am a "nature girl" and follow many eagle nests, belong to Facebook eagle groups, and other bird nests.  Also, I am now addicted to the Katmai National park Brown Bear videos on You Tube during the salmon run in Alaska.  I have two rescue cats and have had dogs in the past but cannot have them in my apartment complex.

@stellabystarlight    We could be best friends.  I've also done the eagles, Katamai  bears, the giraffe and gypsy horse births, among others.  I was involved with collie rescue for about 20 years and owned, fostered and transported many until I could no longer lift them into the car.  Now I have two smaller rescues.  I like cats but can't have one because I have a dog door and we have too many predators.  Cats figure them out fast and go right outside.

@Luvsmyfam   As some others have posted, you need an account to browse.  So, don't set up an account and enjoy some of the videos.

There are a couple of things that I found to be adorable.  One in particular, there is this girl, who has ducks, makes the videos in the beautiful countryside  and has little flower hats for them.  I just love it.

OK, I am EDITING this Post.  I wrote the opposite of what I meant.  YOU DO NOT NEED AN ACCOUNT TO BROWSE TIK TOK.  I don't have one and browse.

@SurferWife   @Desert Lily

Agree with  both of your advice. I heard the same.

Those that access  it do so at their own risk .

@Kachina624   Yes, I agree we could be best friends.  Too bad we live so far apart.  Going to see Dion DiMucci (Dion and the Belmonts) tonight in concert on Long Island at the old Westbury Music Fair.  It has a new name, but I can't remember it.  Stay cool.
