As far as I see it, she said yes to coming close to you. The laugh was probably because she knew you'd ask at some point. Just text back with a place

Tell her where you would like to meet and ask her if that's okay with her.
I wouldn't even ask her about the emojis. If she was trying to start something, she'll hate it that you didn't get upset about it.

This! Don't even mention the stupid emoji.

If it really bothered me, I'd text back...."Why the ROFL emoji??? I don't get it." ![]()
Put it back in her court. Seems you wouldn't be so confused about this...if you're tight friends.

I don't read it that way at all. I just read is as a laugh. Either suggest a place or ask her to and see how it goes from there.
A few years ago when my father was in the hospital, his neighbor, whom I knew him to be close to, would text me and ask how he was doing. When I would text back and the news mignt not have been too good, he would text back to me and always ended his texts with LOL. When I mentioned it to my sister, she suggested an alternate meaning for it which would make more sense for the situation, so I assume that was it.

It's hard to tell. I doubt she was saying 'no way.' But, it could be taken a couple of different ways, or she could have just been being silly.
I don't think you'll know until you ask her. If she's a good enough friend, it seems harmless to say you were a little confused by the emoji.

Thank you all for your interpretations. I appreciate all of your responses.

Hmmm..can't really tell. Maybe she hit the wrong emoji in error? He did say she would come to your side of town. If she's really a friend she should tell you when you ask her.

I am on a text with a few family members who live out of state. They always use emojis, I do not. I use words to express myself. Our conversations work. They constantly use the laughing emoji crying tears.. I love writing so text shortcuts do not do it for me.

Maybe she's acknowledging, with a laugh, that you always go to her side of town, and saying "yeah, I can come to you this time".
