From what I'm seeing, emoji's are overused by people who just see them as cute and believe they needed to be added to every text.

An old friend of mine came with DH and me one Sunday down to the Jersey Shore. DH likes to fish and went onto the fishing pier, and we were right next to the pier out on the beach. It happens to be a free beach, and there are lovely trees to sit under, in case it gets too hot, along with a boardwalk.
We were both working long hours and it was fun to run to this close spot on the weekends to relax.

I wanted to say that no, it's not Malibu beach, but I didn't bother responding. I also realized that she felt this was beneath her, or something along those lines, and didn't see her much after that.

@Ronettes I'm glad that you dropped that friend- she sounds very snooty. Your time with your husband fishing at the pier and enjoying the shade under the trees at the free beach sounds wonderful! I think a lot of the best expereinces in life are free or affordable. You're so right, sometimes one comment tells you everything you need to know about a friend who turns out to be a bad apple.
