Re: Help me understand this!

I see we all have different views on this and that is good. I do appreciate all the different points of view.  I guess for me, seeing trash, weeds, dead flowers etc...showed such disrespect for the deceased, but that's just me. My parents were cremated and set out to sea,as per their wishes. As for my friend, I will keep her gravesite clean...

She lives in CALIFORNIA. There's NO ground thaw issue.

@ID2.  Uh oh, you will be told you are wrong and don't know what you are talking about! I have family in ski country and that is the way it works up there but I have been told on these boards that it doesn't work that way and I am wrong. LOL. I stay away from the poster now.

She doesn't live in ski country, so you are and ID 2 are WRONG. She probably stays away from you, too.

My family lives in ski country where they hold the bodies to bury on warmer weather. Who is "she" you are talking about? Do you know the poster I am talking about? Please re read what you are commenting about because you are making no sense.

Re: Help me understand this!

I'm really disappointed in the length of time it is taking to get the item in order #6813963685.  Using Covid as the reason for the delay is just not cutting it.  I ordered this item on June 8th..it was the TSV.  There have been many reviews posted and even my sister in California has hers.  My order shows that it is still in process...the term "in process" means that it is being prepared...WHAT PREPARATION has or is being done since June 8th?  The estimated delivery is tomorrow...what do you think?  Is it going to make it to my front door?  No, it will not!  Who chooses who gets the item first?  If you cannot service ALL the customers who ordered an item, then wait and service us all at the same time.  It is not fair that we have to wait for such a long time while others receive theirs and you blame it on the social distancing in warehouses and lack of employees not coming to work...why have a business, even in these times, and not provide a quicker turnaround time!

So disappointing!  I would really just like to cancel the order but I'm sure you would tell me that it is too far along "in the process!"  I don't think so.

An unhappy customer.

Re: Help me understand this!

Here in West Virginia, perpetual care only comes with burial in our large, company owned cemeteries.

Church cemeteries get mowed by the person mowing grass at the church, but families are responsible for all grave maintenance.

The majority of my family, and my husbands family are buried in family cemeteries that are looked after thru an organized group. Money is donated yearly to the group to pay a caretaker to mow the cemetery during the 5 months of mowing season; we help maintain 3 local family cemeteries.

It is the responsibility of the family to remove the dead flowers, seed the grave, and arrange for the setting of the headstone in these family cemeteries.
