Today is my birthday, but we're not really doing anything special today. As it's Father's Day also, and as it's extremely hot here in Illinois, I thought the restaurants would be too busy, and I was not too keen on eating outside in the heat since only outside dining is permitted in my state.
We did go out to have some breakfast at an outside restaurant on Friday when the weather was a little nicer and the restaurants were quieter as it was a week day.
Received 1 phone call today from my brother to wish me a happy birthday. Did not receive as many cards as usual. I guess people still are not comfortable about shopping in stores.
Oh well, we also bought my favorite type of cake for my birthday - yellow cake, strawberry filling and whipped cream. Sounds good...think I'll have another piece now.
For my birthday gift to myself, I purchased today's TSV - the Susan Graver tops in solid red and black/dots.
