No. I don't like change.

While it always seems to stay lighter here in south Florida in winter than it did in my old state of Illinois, I don't like being out and about in the dark. I am not an early bird type person, so don't accomplish much during this time of year.

Not really. I don't like driving in the dark and try to avoid it when I can.
The longer hours of darkenss does make me more tired and by the time winter comes I feel like hibernating.

My dog thinks it's time to go to bed when it gets dark. I have to start early to get him to realize that's not when we're going to bed or I'd be in bed by 5pm. ![]()

My normal daily routine does not change.

Well we used to walk after dinner and it is a bit disconcerting to walk in the dark.

Some of my changes have already been mentioned. I like to work outside in the later afternoon, when the sun is not so harsh. Then eat after but now it's getting dark at 6:30. Yuk. I don't like to drive in the dark. Being retired I try to stay home during the typical commuter times, for my sake and theirs!
But I did go out to eat Sunday night, after dark, without incident so maybe I'll try it again but for the most part, I just feel the days are so short in the winter, I dread it. Plus here in the subtropics, winter means rain, so very little sun. I need as much sun as I can possibly get.

The dogs get their second walk after dinner every night. I try to do that ASAP to avoid the darkness, but when it gets dark at 5 pm, that is next to impossible.
I also tend to get everything done before it gets dark. I do not see well to drive at night. I have an inherited condition that causes my pupils to get smaller when light hits them, but they do not enlarge normally as they should when the light is gone. It makes driving in the dark difficult.
DST is ending on November 1, it will be dark very early. I dislike the darkness and coldness of the winter months. I already can't wait for spring.

Not my routine, but my light.
I have been up over two hours now and it is still black out. Come evening it looks pj time around seven. Hate it.

We have several roundabouts near my neighborhood that were built in the last few years. No one has figured out yet who goes ahead first. When the end of the day commute hour is in the dark, there are always accidents. It sometimes knocks out power.
On a more personal note, we tend to eat dinner a little earlier which means I'm hungry for something else before bedtime...looking for healthy snacks by 9.
