Hello my friends! Talked to my sister, Erma, today - her daughter called me from the hospital, and Erma talked to me, she sounds good, and we had a nice visit, if she can take oral antibiotics they can take off the IV's and she can go home. She just had a touch of pneumonia, it's fine now.

M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y
We were born with the Divine within us. Living a selfish life can
hinder the Divine from being expressed and shared. The celestial fire
has to be tended and fed so that it will grow into a real desire to
live the right way. By trying to do the will of God, we grow more and
more in the new way of life. By thinking of God, praying to God and
having communion with God, we gradually grow more like God. The way
of our transformation from the material to the spiritual allows God to
work in and through us.
P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y
I pray that I may tend the spark of the Divine within me so that it
will grow. I pray that I may be gradually transformed from the old
life to the new and fuller life.
Daily Prayer
Lord, our God, may your Son reign in our minds
so that we may think as He would have us think.
May He rule our hearts
so that we may love as He would have us love.
May He direct our whole behavior
that it may be more like His.
Lord, for what we have, we are so grateful.
Help us especially to be sensitive and generous towards
others.
And finally, may we really want your Kingdom to come.

Lord Jesus, You said, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Keep us from being preocuppied with money and worldly goods, and with trying to increase them at the expense of justice.
Lord Jesus, You said, "Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth." Help us not to be ruthless with one another, and to eliminate the discord and violence that exists in the world around us.
Lord Jesus, You said, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Let us not be impatient under our own burdens and unconcerned about the burdens of others.

WELCOME CHALLENGING TIMES as opportunities to trust Me. You have Me beside you and My spirit within you, so no set of circumstances is too much for you to handle. When the path before you is dotted with difficulties, beware of measuring your strength against those challenges. That calculation is certain to riddle you with anxiety. Without Me, you wouldn't make it past the first hurdle:
The way to walk through demanding days is to grip My hand tightly and stay in close communication with Me. Let your thoughts and spoken words be richly flavored with trust and thankfulness. Regardless of today's problems, I can keep you in perfect peace as you stay close to Me.
