I consider myself elderly and I'm not 70 for quite a few years. What's wrong with being elderly? You'd either be dead or elderly. No shame at all in being old/elderly.
I hate "senior." It sounds like people think we are so senile we won't know we're old or elderly. Or that we are ashamed of being old.
My experience is you either grow old or die young. Nearly thirty years ago, I had a cancer with less than 1% chance of a one-year survival. I’m not old, I’m blessed.
Strive for respect instead of attention. It lasts longer.
What makes me feel old is when I do not know any of the Hollywood crowd anymore.... or any of the new singers....most everyone in my age group is old....dying or dead.
They USE TO BE HOT....like Brad Pitt....or Robert Redford.... that is how I know I am old.
