Get that check cashed and don't ever take her shopping again! She's preparing to take greater advantage of you and is testing the water to see how gullible you are.

I do understand and you're correct, half is my fault. I just want it to be over and I won't be taking her shopping anymore. She has a car and she drives, she's also an Uber driver.

I hope not, but I won't be taking her anywhere, I'll go to her bank early and hopefully cash the check.

reminds me of the time someone ahead of me in the costco line, forgot her card and asked to use mine!!!

I declined, how did she get in?

I don't understand why you took her to Costco when she had not paid you for the first time. This woman has no character or ethics. When you went to check out and she did not have cash to give you, I would have left without purchasing the products and apologized to the cashier or made it clear from the start she needed cash to pay for her items. You need to stop being a doormat. Treat people how they treat you. If she still was not a member, I would have told her no.

You seem like a kind person but many people will use you if they see a weakness. That commercial comes to mind : Just Say No. Please take care of yourself first.

I don't also don't know why I took her. I won't again.

I never thought of myself as a doormat, but in this case I was.

I am goining to her bank in the morning and if check is good I'll go to mine and deposit the cash.

Actually "just say no" wasn't a commercial,it was a service announcement about drugs.

My nephew just won $500 in the Lottery. He shared the good news with us at Thanksgiving. His brother in law approached him as he was leaving and asked if he could give him $250. He just laughed and said ..I bought the ticket so the money is mine not yours. When you buy a ticket and win that money will be yours not mine. This person has a reputation for borrowing and never paying back.

When we were returning home from Costco, she asked how much longer my Costco membership was good for, I told her sometime next year. I never thought of why she asked.

Oh my. She got in because the card checkers see us as a mass. They look at my card but don't ask neighbor if she has one. Too many people and too little time.
