@Shanus.  Do you mean coldest temperature for the date?  Surely not coldest day ever.  Sounds miserable.  We've got 62° and sunny.  Hot air balloons out driving my dogs crazy this morning.

@Kachina624   Coldest on this date since 1916....Bone chilling. Those balloons are a beautiful sight. Sorry your fur babies don't appreciate them.

@Shanus Your temperature sounds snuggly!  I'm wrapped up in an acrylic scarf!

Dress warm, it is what it is.  I do wonder, if we are having January weather now, what will we have in January?

WHAT?!?!  Yes, the weather forecaster gave the stats last night. This is the coldest, nastiest, rainy day in central NC since 1916. It's raining now, wind blowing sideways and temps in the 30s. No ice or snow, but windchill is shocking.

Oh sure, as luck would have it, I have errands I saved for today...places not opened on Sunday.

I have my coat like the TSV...took it out of "storage" last night, looked for my gloves/cashmere scarf that I didn't need last year (maybe not the year before either except once). I zipped on the furry hood and am headed out around 10. I look like snowy, plane crash survival movies!! Lol

@Shanus  This is the kind of weather that reminds me of the little boy in his red suit in the Christmas movie, where his arms go straight out and he can't hardly walk or move.  When he fell, he couldn't get back up.  LOL  Is that you now?  LOL

Re: COLDEST DAY SINCE 1916!!!

My area of southern WV broke the coldest temp recorded for Nov 13th, with 6 degrees that morning.   1911 and 1950 held the coldest recorded temp previously.

@RedTop   Compared to 6 degrees, our temps felt Iike spring.
