WHAT?!?!  Yes, the weather forecaster gave the stats last night. This is the coldest, nastiest, rainy day in central NC since 1916. It's raining now, wind blowing sideways and temps in the 30s. No ice or snow, but windchill is shocking. 

Oh sure, as luck would have it, I have errands I saved for today...places not opened on Sunday. 

I have my coat like the TSV...took it out of "storage" last night, looked for my gloves/cashmere scarf that I didn't need last year (maybe not the year before either except once). I zipped on the furry hood and am headed out around 10. I look like snowy, plane crash survival movies!! Lol

@Shanus that weather forecast makes me VERY happy that i am not in your neck of the woods today!   i hope that you are able to complete your errands and get yourself back into warm and cozy soon!

@fancy pantsy   Thanks. I'm leaving my trusty electric blanket out ready to plug in as soon as I get home. BTW, Molly joined me underneath it the other day for the first time. After a first puzzled look on her face, she settled in with a beagle, "Ah". Lol

We had that earlier this week.  But after two days and nights of record breaking cold, the following day I was out in shirtsleeves!  And it's been beautiful ever since.

So don't despair--it's only temporary.  But keep warm until then and be careful driving.

I would LOVE the 30's!! I woke up this morning to 6 degrees! Yep 6!! I'm just waiting for our lake to freeze over. Doesn't usually until end of Dec. Brrr!

@Shanus.  Do you mean coldest temperature for the date?  Surely not coldest day ever.  Sounds miserable.  We've got 62° and sunny.  Hot air balloons out driving my dogs crazy this morning.
