What about allergies? My two left-handed siblings have seasonal allergies to pollen, but none of my right-handed family members have allergies. Is there a connection or is it happenstance?

Both my mother and husband write with their left hands and they both hold their writing utensil like a right handed person.  All other tasks they do with their right hand.

Left handed and actually slapped as a child when teacher would come around because I was writing over handed. I learned to write in 6th grade with same hand just upright and today only sign my name over handed. Do everything else right handed but writing.

Yes, I'm left handed, but, like others use my right hand for most everything else.  I found my first grade report card and it was noted by the teacher that parents requested not to change my writing hand.  Gave me a chuckle.

Left handedness is controlled by the right side of the brain.  Thus, we lefties are the only ones in our right mind.😀

My great niece, who is 2, uses her left hand more than her right.  She holds crayons and colors with both hands equally.  Holds her spoon or fork with her left.  

She's the first in our family on both sides.  I can barely hold a glass with my right hand!

My grandmother and my father were born left-handed. That was considered a no-no in the old days. They were "changed" in school where they were taught to write with the right hand. I remembered my grandmother ironing with her left hand. There were certain things she wouldn't or couldn't do as a righty. I was born right handed but interestingly, there are certain things I do like a lefty. For example, I,once signed up for six golf lessons. For the first three sessions, my instructor told me I was on the wrong side. I told him I could only hit the ball from the lefties' side. I took the last three lessons as a lefty.

Lefties are special--I know, because both my sister and my granddaughter are lefties. Did you know that something like 75% of the American astronaughts have been left-handed?

I'm a lefty. My right hand is pretty useless. I have an aunt who is lefty. My husband is ambidextrous. 🤷‍♀️
