@gloriajeanwrote:whatnow - Your son is a great blessing to you! Thanks for sharing. Our children will always be our blessings..
Prayers do work, and thanks be to God Cherry's husband came through his ordeal! The nuns that Cherry is referring to is that I have a prayer line in which I have lots praying for our intentions plus 3 Monasteries of Poor Clare Nuns praying for them too. One Monastery is in Boston, another in Memphis, Tenn. and aother in Wales across the pond they say. Also a Franciscan Monastery. That's what she means. I just wanted to explain that.
Thats so awesome, @gloriajean. Thanks for expaining.

I'm new to posting; however, I have read the forums on and off for years. I always knew I could go to your post and it would make me feel bettter.
There was a time you weren't on the boards - which was very distressing.
I recently started posting (even though I signed on years ago) and was so relieved to see your name amongst the other posters! I am inspired by your gratitude and faith (in trials).
Your family sounds lovely. I hope your daughter finds all the help she needs to make her life as easy and comfortable as possible.
Sincerely....

Respectlife - wonderful nic! Count your Blessings was a song that Perry Como sang on his show, I loved that one too! I really liked Perry Como.
Thanks for your post!
Happycat - Thanks for sharing your blessings too! In all our trials we can still find blessings if we look for them. Sometimes they are right in front of us!
Elri - Another blessing I have is reading posts like yours! Thanks so much for your kind words! You should post more often Thanks, we hope, too, that our daughter, the mother of 20 month old twin daughters, will find some relief from pain.
Through the years here I have been blessed with meeting a lot of nice posters who have become friends which I email with. When we were allowed to post our email addresses, that was a great blessing!

@softwareyou just keep borrowing time forever because you are a blessing.
@dex I know that feeling well...truly a blessing. Our son, now 46 was adopted at 4 days old. Our gift from God...followed by my getting pregnant within 3 months with our daughter. Double blessings.

Hello, Gloria ~ so nice to see you here. I'm sure sorry that your daughter has been officially diagnosed with EDS. Thankful there is help for her, though, and yes... If the good Lord brings us to it; He will likewise bring us through it, when we trust in Him. Have seen it time and again with family, friends and those I volunteer to assist through my church. Never ceases to amaze me each time, though!
One of my daughter-in-laws, who suffers with lupus, is not only a constant blessing to my life, but to many. She was told she can’t safely carry another child, after giving us our beloved granddaughter. Now, with little Gracie in school, she volunteers much of her time with helping those who choose to give their babies up for adoption. A very hard process for many, and I'm not sure I could do this day after day, were I in her shoes. Briefly, she naturally wanted to bring every precious baby home, but then she said, “No... it's not about me or my longing. It's about letting God provide the answers for these children, their moms and the adopting parents. I'm just here for them, while He does so. That is blessing enough ~ having this extraordinary purpose in serving.”
I'll keep praying for your family as always. Thank you for praying for ours and your friendship over the years. ~Joy ❤️

@gloriajean- have wondered where you were and how you are. You used to visit with us some way back on the old 70s Thread here, as well as your Daily Positives and Kindred Spirits. Relieved to see you posting again- I am sure those twin girls keep you busy, but what a double blessing! 💗💗
I'll be privileged to pray for your daughter. I know nothing about this condition or the general prognosis, but our Lord knows all about it. I pray for answers that will help with the pain. 🙏
Chronic pain has long been my daily companion, too. Rheumatoid Arthritis, complicated by Congestive Heart Failure. But at my age (nearly 78) these things can be much more easily accepted. Hate to think of any young mother suffering and having to give up her teaching career, too. I know she knows how blessed she is to have you, your husband and her sister there close by. Not to mention a loving husband and father of her girls. The sister getting trained in nursing is sure to be a big help and comfort to her in the coming years.
My blessing is that despite my circumstances, God continues to provide me with all I need and most anything I could reasonably want. He has taught me to be thankful- truly grateful and humble through many trials, including the loss of my only (adult) child. That was the hardest! But she knew and loved Him, and I know He knows and loves her far beyond my mortal capacity. Brings me peace to believe with all my heart that she is safe in His presence, and I'll see her again, at the appointed time. In the meanwhile, I have the many wonderful memories of my beloved daughter to cherish. She was a teacher, too! Elementary school, with training in Special Ed. 😊
Blessings to you and yours,
Ruth Ann 🌺
