Sometimes, I lose track of days (which day it is), since in retirement, a lot of our days are the same. Time really does fly. A word to the wise, live each day to its fullest you never know when you will get to repeat it.

@qualitygal That’s good advice indeed. We all need to be reminded of that from time to time. Thanks!😊

I'm sitting here thinking the same thing!
Where did the week go?

Bravo!! I say all the time that life is too short & we shouldn’t sweat the small stuff!!
I tell my DH & son that I love them everyday. If anything should happen I want them to know that they mean everything to me!!

I was thinking that the other day. My days fly by. But then I got to thinking. I no longer get up at 5 AM, I now try and get up by 7:30. And I do not race around anymore getting ready for work, making lunches, walking dog so I could drive for over an hour to get to work. My pace has slowed considerably.
I like my new pace but I wish the time didn't seem to fly by as quickly as it does. I can remember sitting at work thinking I can't believe it is only Wednesday. That thought NEVER crosses my mind now. I am thinking it is Friday already?

My Grandma always said as we get older the time slips by faster & faster.

I think the time flys when you are retired because now you can do anything or nothing. My husband and I had a very early dental appointment last week and had to get up at 6am to make it. We were so tired when we got home at 10am we went back to bed and slept for another 4 hours. We would never have done that a few years ago.

All true. The one thing I do find, however, is that weekends still feel like weekends even though I'm retired. I had expected them to merge into all the other days. I suppose it's because the rest of the country still does "weekend" stuff on weekends and it filters into my consciousness.
Any other retirees find that weekends still feel like weekends, or do they blend with all the other days?

@GingerPeach, (except for church), they blend like the rest do. LOL
