Orange glazed sweet potatoes...they were fantastic if I do say so myself.

Fresh squeezed orange juice, grated peel, pumpkin pie spices, maple syrup and butter...roasted one inch thick slices for 45 minutes, then uncovered them until the liquid got syrupy...I really recommend the orange/yam combo.

Just google orange glazed sweet potatoes...but I replaced the brown sugar with maple syrup.

Yes, that's the one...but as I said, I used maple syrup from the farmers market. The orange from the fresh juice was outstanding - sweet but not candied yam overly sweet.

Sounds yummy! I microwaved a sweet potato last night and when I Googled to see how long to cook it, I ran across a recipe for a curry sweet potato soup. It sounded good, but dinner was nearly finished and I didn't have time to make soup. Instead, I sprinkled some butter, curry, and brown sugar over my cooked sweet potato and it was delicious.

I love sweet potatoes and am so glad that things like sweet potato fries are becoming more common.

sweet potatos and yams are like apples

Different types

Apples.....Granny Smith, Gala, Red Delicious etc

Different textures and flavors

Also a potato cooked in an oven will taste different than a microwave.

Sounds good.  I never do sweet potatoes on holidays, I eat so many of them during the year.
