I think Jan does an excellent job showing the Vitamix and giving good tips on using it. He did so many different recipes yesterday. He doesn't do the hard sell, but really shows off the machine so that everyone can see how much the Vitamix can do. He doesn't talk over the hosts and works well with any of the hosts. I really like it when Jill does the Vitamix shows and Rick does a good job too.

Jan gave Jill a spoon of peanut butter. She said something like, that was one way to get her quiet!!

It does not matter what product he demonstrates - his presentations are superb.

Agree! Jan is excellent. Years ago I took a professional sales training course and the main tenet of the training was "feature, function, benefit". Basically, you tell the customer the features, the function of the features and HOW IT WILL BENEFIT them. Jan does this well.

Some other TV salespeople need to learn how to sell products; i.e., what is the product going to DO FOR ME.

Agree - he's really a pro!

Isn't he also the one who has represented Foodsaver for many years? I believe he had an infomercial for the first Foodsaver on tv (the Compact II, I believe). That was what prompted me to get my first vacuum sealer. I didn't purchase it off the infomercial, but I got it from a store based on what I saw him do on tv.

I'm probably the biggest fan of vacuum sealing! Smiley Happy Thanks Jan.

Yes, he still sells the FoodSaver on QVC and probably infomercials. He also was the rep for some kind of plastic bags for storage that you can vacuum the air out. He may have sold bread makers on QVC when they were all the rage too. Probably other items also.

Mercy, I thought dear Jan had passed on. Can't believe he's still peddling kitchenware!
