Re: So how are your investments doing?

The DOW is up over 1200 points. I can't believe how ridiculous people act over something like this. They panic about everything.

Re: So how are your investments doing?

When I retired I took all my money out of the stock market and put it someplace safe - an FDIC insured savings account.

My only aim is to protect my funds, I didn't need to be in a position to make more money and certainly didn't want to be in a position where I could lose it!  (Been there, done that before!)

We didn't panic at all when it dropped, and we're not jumping for joy that it's up today. It's the stock market; that's what it does.

But no need to mock those who are anxious about the spread of the virus.

Re: So how are your investments doing?

Every time there is a major downturn in the market my planner's firm puts out the same email - "we are monitoring the situation but presently see no reason to make changes in portolios at this time" followed by "the market is just doing what the market does - it goes up it goes down - no need to panic".

Re: So how are your investments doing?

Back up today. Glad we didn't panic.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.
