And I think I've also seen multiple threads about it.
I got the e-mail today. I haven't seen any notice when I sign-on here.
I see a red highlighted notice at the top of the page, about the new shipping and handling rates.

Of course, Q messed up my emails about 2 years ago now - received an email that they had processed my request to quit sending emails to me - nope, I didn't ask them to stop. I resubscribed and I still don't get many of the emails. I used to get the emails to order early, too, and stopped receiving those. CS has looked and said that there is nothing wrong that I should be getting them and that was the end of it. Thankfully my mom gets many of the same products I do so she gets the emails and passing them on to me. She also get the shipping and handling email and forwarded it to me.

I am still upset about loss of original S&H on returns and no choice of delivery type. Just noticed the cost of S&H on handbags. $11 or $12 still being charged for this type of item. Can you imagine ordering and having to pay original and return S&H if an item does not work out?
I also have pending return orders (ALL DEFECTIVE). They were delivered to Q on 2/4 and still no indication on order history that they were received. Looks like more going on than the new S&H policy.
They are going to lose customers, or orders will decrease based on all of these facts. Really too bad. Don't prefer QVC to other vendors anymore.

It can be difficult to choose a color from a tv or computer screen. We all know the sizing is all over the place with little to no consistency. Often, you just can't know until trying on or seeing I person. I have no dog, per se, in this fight. I tried once or twice to buy Q clothing and was dissatisfied with sizing and quality so have not since then. Others have had better luck but still, with the inconsistencies and lack of any decent on air descriptions I don't think it is taking advantage. It is the business model. On 2/3/2015 cgil said:On 2/3/2015 Shogirl said:I'm a regular customer and did not receive the S/H notification. I also agree that this forum is nice for that very reason - to let all customers know what the heck is going on!
I didn't receive anything either...and I order WAY too much! I think the no refund on returns situation is a result of people who order multiples of an item (one in each color) to get them home and look at them knowing full well that they will return all but one. I have heard a lot about this practice especially regarding handbags.
I agree. People who take advantage always ruin it for those who use policies as they were intended to be used.
QVC isn't the first nor will they be the last to change their policies. After all, Amazon raised its "free" shipping 20% in 2015. It's still good for frequent buyers, but it's a HUGE percentage increase. For me, it made sense to stop paying the Prime and just pay occasionally for what I do order. $99? Not happening. I just don't buy that much.
Other companies have also changed and when gas goes back up in price yes, I think it will), we're going to see more.
I wasn't even thinking of clothing much - I buy very little and then only from one vendor who has been pretty consistent over the years. I actually understand sizing being an issue because even in local stores, I almost always take the same garment into the dressing room in two sizes.
And, yes, I know it's a business model, but what they're telling us is that the model they've been using no longer works and they're changing it. Most of us will learn to use the new model perfectly well - for me, I expect it to be much better because I make almost no returns, almost never buy more than one item at a time, etc.
And no matter what model they or any other company uses, first and foremost is that I have to want and need what they choose to sell. For me, if I don't want the item, I don't care about their business model.
