I like these two: Vega One (plant based) and Tera's Whey (organic from grass-fed cows).

Andrew Lessman makes a good one. Procapslabs.com.

Agreed. He explained how the isolate form is important, but one feature that I like is that it's flavor free so it mixes well into smoothies.

We have used Raw Protein and found that it did not blend as much as I would have liked in my morning smoothie, there was a slight grittiness in the smoothie. I used the cocoa one, blended with almond milk, blueberries, bananas, and spinach. It is a good product with added nutrition, not just protein. Since my husband prefers a product that is only protein, he gets his vitamins in food and other supplements, we switched to Nutribiotic rice protein. I think it blends up better in Vitamix smoothies and it is not as pricey as Raw or Sun Warrior. I used to use Lessman's Secure, it was too sweet for my taste.

When buying protein powders I always check the number of servings per container, some of them are very expensive.

Thank you. That is what I have been reading, that its gritty so I have held off. I will take a look at the Nurtribiotic. Its a challenge especially since I want it to be plant based but with no artificial sweeteners. Thanks for the suggestion. I will check it out.

<br /> Not sure if you know it, but he now makes a pure protein powder, not the Secure flavored powder. It's unflavored and mixes very well. He recently had a sale and the powder was 33% off.

I did hear about that, I am now a vegan so his Whey powder not under consideration. Thanks for the suggestion.

I wish he would make one that is plant based with no soy and artificial sweeteners. Yes, yes, we are picking about our protein powders. LOL.

I've used protein powder for seven or eight years and I've tried many different brands. I really like Lean Dessert whipped vanilla. You can buy it at Vitamin Shoppe, but I've also found it other places online. Lean Dessert is pretty much the only brand I've found that I really like. I use a Blender Ball bottle to mix it.

The rice protein and pea protein are available for those who do not wish to use whey . I avoid soy and get unflavored whey to avoid sweeteners. We are picky about our protein powders! I have used the rice in years past but not the pea protein.
