Hi all .... I have a question for you all and I'd really appreciate some input. I am 67, and seem to be needing more sleep than I should. I go to bed around 11, get up around 6-6:30, take a 2 hour nap in the afternoon, and then in the evenings I stretch out on my sofa with my dog and watch TV. By 9-9:30 I'm nodding off. Does this seem extreme to you all?
A little background .... I had a total knee replacement one year ago which went well, my doctor does bloodwork every 6 months for cholesterol checks (I take simvistatin), and I take several psychotropic medications for cyclothymia. I know some of the meds. for the cyclothymia can make me sleepy, but the amount I seem to need just seems extreme. I take vitamins, plus a B complex.
Any input?
