Morning sickness questions

No, it's not me with the morning sickness. My dear DIL is expecting grandchild #2 which is wonderful news, but she is around 12 weeks and she has morning sickness all the time. She was the same way with the first baby and he is perfectly normal. The nausea went away after around 16 weeks then so she's hoping it will go away soon with this one. The doctor says it's normal but she has to go back again to the doc tomorrow. I feel so sorry for her.

I never really experienced morning sickness with my pregnancies. Maybe a little queasiness when I smelled some odors like meat cooking, but I didn't have much trouble. Have any of you had morning sickness so strongly with pregnancy? I guess I'm looking to be reassured if I hear similar stories.
