i did the call back thing last week and never got a call back. i think that is the problem that i called on a monday. i have called other times and got thru in like 20 minutes. my application was a paper application done at an elderlly center. thanks for all your response.

What number are you calling? It must be a local Medicare number because Medicare does not close at 3:30pm. The National Medicare number is 1-800-633-4227. I believe they are open 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Did you mail the application or were they supposed to do it?  If they did it, are you sure it was actually mailed?
