lung scan

My doctor mentioned this to me....

 

I quit smoking cold Turkey 30 years ago.

 

Previously I had smoked for 11 years... up to two packs a day.  

 

should I have a chest X-ray done?

What's the story on an annual lung scan? Have had several since my broken ribs caused my left lung Pneumothorax. 

 

Then 2 more after my Thoracentesis that removed 1.4 liters of Pleural Fluid that was allowing my left lung to expand only 20%. Lung appeared to be fine after the procedure, but still battling the 4 broken ribs issue.
