Thanks @Lake4. the first two weeks were the hardest.  I find keto to be healthy and easy, but it’s got to be an “all in” kind of thing and it requires some effort to know what ingredients are good and which ones are enemies.  I also believe it’s a lifestyle decision - not just a temporary diet.  Dabbling in keto and still eating carbs is a recipe for disaster.  I faithfully track my macros with Carb Manager.  I love eating this way and feel better than I have in years!

I've been taking low dose for 20+ years..with no problems...

I remember my husband was on it and developed a cough... the doctor prescribed a different medication.

I was on Lisinopril for 18 months but had a cough that developed that was so chronic and hard that I was taken off.  It was so awful my friends thought I had developed something horrible....

     Same with me!!!  Apparently cough is a common side effect from this HP med.

thanks for all of your replies.  I have not developed a cough yet.  Im on a low dose.  I just noticed that I feel bloated and I weighed myself and I gained weight.  I hadnt changed anything else about how I eat.  

Weight gain isnt listed as one of the side effects, but when I googled it it says rapid weight gain.  Also I found a forum all about Lispidril and everyone on there gained weight.  I found this forum after I asked the question here.  

But non of you ladies gained any weight, so who knows.  I was on Norvasc and that made my ankles like balloons.  Now I dont know what to do.  If I should ask her to change this med or not.  

Anyway Im sure Ill figure it out, but I so appreciate you all taking the time to reply to my question.

Have been on a low dose for many years & no side effects.  I lost weight, but don't know if it was from the med.

i was not on it long enough to gain weight. It caused me medically induced lupus. Yes it has been registered with fda by my doctor. It  is a one in three  million reaction. Arent I lucky. My doctor found a lupus specialist to test my blood a year or so later and said I was clear. I hope.
