Hi guys, i don't post in your forum much but i have a question. the doctor said I need to have knee replacement surgery both knees and he left it up to me weather to have the mini procedure or the total replacement. He said if I go for the mini that probably in a few years I may need the total replacement but if I get a total replacement now it will last for ever. It seems an easy decision to have the total procedure BUT there is a financial aspect. If i have the mini I can have both done at once and go home in a day or two- if i have the total it will be a four days at best in the hospital each time. Our insurance requires I pay $300/day deductible for every day in the hospital up to 7 days. So mini proc - max 2 days $600 total vs. max proc $1200 each knee. at best. So i am wondering if anyone has had the mini procedure and how it is working out for them? did your doctor tell you that was all he expected to need to do or are you rolling the dice hoping it will be all? i would really like to do the mini of course but need to hear some reviews of how that has gone for others.
