what dosage do you take....i googled it and 1.7 mg is recommended...all the pills i see are 25,50 and 100 mgs.  i don't understand..

@nana59

It depends what you are taking it for.

Generally, 50 mg 3 times per day.

Please don't get plain B6. Google for explanation of why. The safe form to use is P-5-P AKA Co-Enzymated Vitamin B-6. It is easy to find.

Taking Vitamin B6 - in the co-enzymated (safer) form - P5P - cured my trigger thumb. A lot of similar problems are caused by vitamin deficiencies and doctors are ordering surgery to fix them because they don't know.

With a trigger thumb, I would be REALLY interested to understand exactly how a vitamin or any substance could have "cured" the anatomic malady portion for what a trigger finger is all about.  Please do explain.

Surgery to correct a trigger finger is successful in most cases and is not complicated.  Physicians order surgery to correct trigger fingers because it works.

There is a book about Vitamin B6 - I can't recall the name right now but I'll look for it later. It can probably answer some of your questions.

I was surprised, too, when I heard that. I'd been told surgery was the only way to fix it & without surgery it would just get worse. My doctor was about to schedule surgery & I told him not to. I wanted to try this first. It is a lot healthier for my body to get a vitamin it is deficient in than to be cut open.

Remember, doctors are taught about treatments and surgeries. Most don't know much about vitamins and nutrition. They can't tell us what they were never taught.

The book is:

You can also Google "P5P & trigger finger" or "B6 & carpel tunnel" or whatever other thing you might be wondering about. You'll find discussions and testimonials.
