At times like this, I think we need to buckle up and do what we need to do.  I sure don't want to show up for my procedure and not be as "cleaned out" as needed.  It's important to me to help the doc do his/her job.  I didn't enjoy doing the prep, it was tough to do, but I did it and got it over with.

I look at this prep as better than living with a colostomy bag or worse.

I did not do it with "their" time frame, I did my own.  Instead of starting at 5:00 p.m. I started at 12:30 p.m.. the day before.  Then I started the second prep at 10:30 p.m. for my 7:00 a.m. check in time at the hospital.  It took me and hour and a half to get through both preps of drinking and I wanted to get more sleep at the end of the night leading to the morning procedure 

If I had started the second prep when they said I would not have been done going to visit my bathroom before my SIL pulled up that morning.  She arrived 15 minutes after my last visit to the empty the prep from my body.

I would do whatever makes you comfortable.

Hopefully this will be just a memory soon.  It is hard when your test time is up in the air but a good result to know.

@catter70 : I am praying for you. I know the prep is difficult but necessary.

Due to my age: I will have my last colonoscopy in November. My doctor uses the ducolax, miralax and Gatorade: I do not like any flavors of the gatorade. I always gag on the last glass of prep. To help my situation: two days before the prep: I eat salads and plain Jello .

I took only pills both times, very easy but lots of pills and liquid,. Very time consuming.
