I've started with the clear liquid prep today for tomorrows procedure, whatever time that might be as they don't call until between 3pm-6pm. I start at 5 pm today with Clenpiq then follow with 40 ounces of liquid within 5 hours. Second step starts 5 hours before procedure, but it all has to be done 4 hours before procedure, which means I have to drink all that in one hour . I hope I can get all that liquid down with out issue in one hour without getting sick. This is driving me crazy.

Good luck, I hope it goes well for you.   In my experience I tried the Clenpiq last time (2 years ago) as I thought it would be better than the orginal version with the Dulcolax and Gatorade....... I didn't do well with it.   It tasted like drinking Kaopectate and I ended up with a migraine on top of it all.   Next time I'm going back to the old method.  DH did the Clenpiq without an issue though.  Everyone is different.  I feel for you as I don't think any of the preps are easy.

@LindaSal , thanks. This Clenpiq is supposed to taste like cranberry juice. I guess I'll find out later.

@catter70  I feel for you. I've been there. I didn't think I could get through drinking it all either (it's a lot). I did get through it by putting it over ice, and drinking it through a straw. It helped a lot. Best of luck on your procedure.

@catter70 I always think about all of the people that have gotten through it & know that I will too.

Then you, hopefully, will say it wasn't that bad.

Keep busy & try to just get through.

Sincere good luck wishes.

I am supposed to book a colonoscopy appointment and I have not done it because of the dread for the onerous prep,

Apparently different doctors favor different types of prep.

My sister had a relatively easy one which was a red drink about the size of a Red Bull can.  She had to drink 1/2 at one time and 1/2 several hours later.  She said it didn't taste bad, either!  Do you think I can find anyplace that has this?!!??

I had some truly vile gallon size jug  that I had to drink every hour or so until it was consumed.  Crystal light citrus (which was approved) was added to every glass and only elevated it to terrible.

I know they say misery loves company but I truly wish that nobody would have to endure this hell juice.

They can put a man on the moon but.......

@781Florist,

I love your description of " only elevated it to terrible."

So true!

I wonder what your sister had. I'd never heard of something like that either.
