She wanted both us and her sisters to think it was ok,she would say doctor's orders. An example was her walker.

I think I understand (or maybe not) lol. Maybe when her mom wants to do something that she thinks the others might not agree with, she would say the Dr said its ok.
I knew someone who liked to drink and everytime he wanted a drink he would complain of having a toothache and of course he would say the dentist says alcholol helped with the pain and people believed him.
