When to take Metforin?

I am supposed to take my first Metforin for diabetes tomorrow. I am confused about when to take it----some say right before you begin eating your meal, some say when you begin eating a little and some say mid through. I know it is important since it tends to cause nausea. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}
