Well, the time is almost here for my knee replacement surgery this coming Tuesday - May 24. I've jumped through all the medical hoops required, set up everything I need to for my dog and cats, and have my clothes laid out for my bags. My son and I will leave my condo on Tuesday at 5 as I have to be at the hospital at 6 - the surgery is at 7:45 AM - and I understand it takes about 2-2/1/2 hours and then you go to recovery. They won't be putting me to sleep .... they'll use a spinal, nerve blocks in my leg, and then they'll put me in "la-la land" with some sort of sedative/anesthesia type thing. I'll apparently be able to hear them talk, but won't remember much if anything. When they told me that, my first reaction was "I DON'T WANT TO HEAR THE SAW!" The nurse, said not to worry that I wouldn't remember it.

Then, because I have no one to stay with me for the first week or so, I'll be going to a rehab. facility for 1-2 weeks that Friday the 27th.

I'm so glad to be getting this done .... I want to get back to normal life again. So far, I'm not really nervous, but I imagine Tues. AM some of that will be there.

I'd appreciate your prayers that all will go well.
