I'd start by thinking if anything that has changed in your life. Anything that is different from meds, lotion, weather, something your eating , anything and go from there.

drying lotion from Mario Badescu. I think Ulta carries their brand.

Try some B12 or Vitamin D, get some aloe gel lotion from the pharmacy and some calamine lotion. Mine turned out to not be acne, but a face infection (staph). Horrible!

@nana59 If acne, I would look for items that contain both benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. I think those give the best results. Make sure it's acne first and not eczema or psoriasis.
Also like another post mentioned, have you changed any cosmetics or cleansers or used anything with oil on your face? Maybe you are allergic to something.
I would first try to figure out what might have changed. Also, if on medication, google and see what any possible side effects it could cause.
Best of luck -

Stridex Maximum treatment pads in a jar. Alcohol free and contains 2% salicylic acid. Use one pad daily or less if your skin gets too dry. That stuff has been around for a very long time because it works.

I have an autoimmune disorder as well. When it flares I can develop small pimple type erruptions called erythema nodstrum.
They are small, red and fluid filled like a tiny blister. No whitehead like a pimple. I use an OTC cortisone cream and not an acne treatment. They can hurt and are slow to heal, up to two weeks.
I just know my disorder is in a flare when they pop up but thankfully I only get 2-3 at a time.

I forget what it’s called. It’s advertised for teenagers for acne.
It’s been around for years. I’d try that. It has the same ingredients people have spoken about here.

Me too ☹️.
I also hold a damp, warm/warm washcloth on at night, seems to speed up healing a bit, and helps with pain.

You could try all these suggestions posted by non derms. Why waste time $ with these suggestions? Just go to a derm. It will save you both time & $ in the long run.
