What do I say?

My good friend has stage 4 cancer...lung and bones. 10 months to live according to her doctor. She is devastated and so am I. What in the world do I do and say? She is at home with DH and really doesn't want company, but enjoys a phone conversation. Should I abide by her wishes? Should I drop in? I feel that is too pushy since with cancer.... people have a right to live out their remaining days the way they want to, and I should respect that. Maybe send a card and some candy, since she is a chocolate freak. I am so close to the situation I cannot see straight. Please tell me what to do. Thanks.....PJ
