I'm sorry for the stress you are feeling.  I think it's a normal human reaction to go to the darkest thoughts and then pull yourself back and deal with the next step.  Ask for support, share if you feel scared, and no matter what the results and process turns out to be, it's ok to feel many feelings.  You are not alone--although I know it can feel that way.
