I would get an inversion table, but , with joint replacements they are NOT recommended.
Nore are they reommended if you have high BP.

Yes, I've lost 2 inches in height.....and I've looked everywhere, I just can't find them...lol Seriously, I'm 56 and I am 2 inches shorter than I was for most of my adult life. I don't think it's age in my case, I have spinal stenosis and I'm pretty sure that's the cause. I'm not overly concerned but it was a surprise; I think maybe some physical therapy and some core strengthening exersizes to improve my posture (which isn't great) might help. I'll discuss it with my spine specialist the next time I see her.

Well, we all know we need to stay active, but for many of us, getting on the floor is not easy. I like to mix things up, but if you get JLTV there is an exercise show called "A New Way to Move" and it's aimed at seniors and can be done sitting or standing. It's so much more upbeat than "Sit and Be Fit".
I was introduced to Peggy Cappy and yoga during a PBS fundraiser. The stories of her students was inspiring. These are real people of varying weights and disease processes, but they all vastly improved the quality of life. You don't have to do all the poses all at once either. I bought three of her dads, but she also offers live streaming which is a better idea. You challenge yourself a little bit each day.
Resistance bands are cheap, and I did buy and use the gym gadget that Marie Osmond sells. It's fairly inexpensive and it does have the ability for increased resistance.
Some people do better being in classes or having exercise buddies....and that has never worked for me. I find if I have simple things at home, there are never excuses not to "do" something.
I also want to say that I am reaping big time benefits in terms of pain relief and mobility. I'm not going to lie and tell you my joints never freeze up and that I'm pain free. There are some days that I know it's going to hurt to move, and it does-but the fluidity in movement post stretching is the pay off. I feel that I'm lessening the danger of falling if I can walk fluidly as opposed to walking with stiff unending leg joints. Moist heat or a warm shower prior to "working out" helps. I will use analgesia as well be it oral, topical or both....I will say, movement does give me much better results in terms of improving how these medications work.
Stay warm everybody, and if you have a chance, take a look at Peggy Cappy's site.

I'm so jealous of tall ladies. I started at 4-11 3/4 now at 4-10 1/4. I can't afford to shrink more. Lol
