Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hey all, feeling crummy today, I got the dang cold from DH, ( thanks for sharing), went and did the trail with Logan.  It isn't far but it got me moving and moving seems better than sitting.

Making wedding soup for dinner, good soup day.  It was sunny when I walked and now the typical fall day, clouds and showeres, then sun, then showers.

Iluvlucy sending prayers for everyone ,  very stressful times.  I hope your run in the country cleared your head some...

Laura I love Red Velvet cake, I'll take your piece please!

Nomless good luck with the interview, crossing my fingers for you!

Judy like Laura said, you can come back now, our Irish friends are here too.

I wish I could nap, I didn't sleep at all last night but I can not nap to save my soul!

Oh, raining again!

Have a good day everyone!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Long workout done. Long is becoming my new normal. That's good.

Glad the procedures are done, Lucy, and hope the results are ok. Sorry you have to wait so long to find out.

My interview is tomorrow. All your good wishes will be in my mind. Thanks!

Bopper, bummer that you caught the cold. I find zinc lozenges help to shorten a Cole's duration. Feel better soon.

Laira, I like red velvet,ctoo, so I'll take a slice, too. ☺

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

@nomless  I know you'll do great today!!  The crowd is cheering!!  Except when you go into the library because that's ssshhhhh time.  Smiley Very Happy

Did my short Ride class (hate that new music and routine too) and did Power for the second time.  I warmed up to it a little bit but it still stinks.

So my eye doctor said she can see cholesterol back in eyes. Back on the red yeast rice I go.  My doctor's appointment is in two months so I guess I'll have to do something more to not get yelled at again.  I am NOT going on meds.  As much as I love being Italian, this whole cholesterol battle is for the birds.  I eat very well and exercise.  Not overweight at all.  Gimme a break already!!

Oh and Amazon cancelled my phone order because they couldn't find one to sell me.  But the accessories I bought (case and sim card) are shipping just fine and it would cost me as much to return as to keep them.  And they wonder why I won't sign up for Prime.  I ordered the phone again from a new vendor so fingers crossed this one ships and of course it was about $40 more. Turkeys!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hey all, I'm still battling a head cold so I only took a trail walk with Logan, and did some laundry.  I do feel better moving though, my head loosens up.  I had to cancel lunch plans for tomorrow with 2 friends, don't want to expose them.  I wouldn't like it if they did that to me and i really don't feel well enough to be going to lunch.

Nomless you got this!  We are praying for you, go get 'em'!

Iluvlucy sending prayers to you and DS too and glad you are enjoying time with the kids and doggies.

Laura I am on a Cholesterol medication too, it runs in my family and I don't like being on one either.  I also do everything you do and it's still high.  I thought about trying HSN's Andrew Lessmans Cholesterol medication ( well not medication) but you know what I mean.  Good reviews.

It's 60 here today, feels great outside!  I want a long long fall!

Have a good day!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

@bopper  I hope you feel better!  I had great results with taking the red yeast rice.  I stopped after I got the good results a year later and figured I was okay to go off of it.  Apparently not.  Made the same mistake with my iron.  Have to take it or I get anemic.  Smiley Sad

I have not tried any of AL vitamins even though I hear great things.  I have bought two brands off of Amazon.  I always make sure they have CoQ10 in them because I know you can't do one without the other.  I still had one pretty full bottle but I did check Amazon again and they still have the brand I use (Jarrow) for $17 for 120 pills which lasts two months (only 2 pills a day).  Couldn't find anything cheaper in stores around me.

My interview: nailed it!!!  😁. But maybe the 5 others will, too. I got several great oo's and ah's of praise to some of my responses. I couldn't have done any better, so I'm pleased. Now it's in their hands. They hope to decide by tomorrow.

I did my workout this morning, too. How 'bout that?!

Laura, it's great you can manage your cholesterol. Bummer that you have to.

Hey, friends, thanks for cheering for me and sending lots of good wishes my way. I totally appreciate it. Fingers crossed they'll pick me.

Off to get something to eat. I haven't eaten today....didn't want to get an unexpected upset tummy so I decided to forego food until after the interview. L

ETA: My Thunderball just arrived. It's a pleasure to hold. Too light for k-bell workouts (but I knew that), but perfect for my med ball workouts.
