Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

@Laura14 Adonis needs to bring his 3-way mirror from home!

Take care of your back! I was plagued with injuries......because I ignored...me was dumb.

I decided to break my neck (not) and run on the treadmill while playing with the monitor.  My husband bought a counter height cart for the monitor.  I had it right next to me and it worked out okay....

Ran 4mi/50min.

Happy Taco Tuesday everyone!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hey hey, it's dreay and chilly here with drizzle.   Good cooking and baking kind of day.  I had a hair appt. this afternoon and decided to grocery shop then instead of going tomorrow morning in dark and wet conditions.  It's a whole different ball game going in the afternoon, the people, yikes....and lets leave our cart angled in the Isle so nobody can get through and then walk half way down to look for something,  I just stopped and starred at the cart, Like really??  Some even give you the stink eye when you say "excuse me please"....anyways, its done for another week.

DId my gazelle glider and a walk, then it started to drizzle so didn't get back outside to go again.

Robert Lee Morris had some earrings I really want, but 87$ I think they were, large crosses.   Maybe some day....

Have a good rest of the night!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

@Laura14 I don't know how you can keep a straight face with all those weirdos!

@bopper I don't know if people are rude or just oblivious.  I hate grocery shopping for your experience and more.  I say excuse me .....and if the person looks at me like I'm being rude, I state the reason.  Fortunately, I haven't been yelled at yet.

Last month I was playing chicken with a woman at Target.  She was facing me.  She moved left when I moved right...we did this 3 more times and I stopped and said - you've gotta be kidding me.  She then said -sorry!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

GM everybody!

Boy, did we have a rainstorm late yesterday evening.  Luckily for us it was fairly short.  It was in the forecast but I didn’t believe it because the sun was out while the warnings were coming across the tv screen.  Well, suddenly it got darker and the loud wind whipped up and I could see trees swaying.  That always scares me because we have a lot of trees around the house.  Lightening has struck two of them in the past.  Later, watching the news, I saw that some were not so lucky.  One family had a tree fall on the roof so hard that some heavy branches went through the ceiling barely missing a bed.  Whoa!!

Ladies, I don’t go grocery shopping in the evening if I can avoid it.  Way too many people!  And most people my age seem to look at it as an outing and, yes, leave their carts any kind of way and you have to say “excuse me” so that they will move it.  And I’m an energetic walker, walking with a purpose.  Jeese!  Same with gas, morning only unless it’s an emergency.

I got an email yesterday from the hospital after I couldn’t be reached by phone saying that I had met all the requirements for volunteering.  Guess the mass murder in my past didn’t show up in the background check, lol.  (Joking, of course).  I will be volunteering on Wednesday afternoons and they asked if I could start today but I can’t cause I had already scheduled a stop at the grocery store and a pedicure in the planner in my head.  I excited to start  next Wednesday, though.  An unexpected bonus will be that my club membership will go from $53 to $23 a month, a $30 discount.  Had I known this, I would have volunteered sooner, lol.

I have running around scheduled for today so I probably won’t do a workout.  Everyone, please have an enjoyable day!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone!  Its been a while since I checked in.  I've been reading tho and keeping up with everyone's posts.  Haven't worked out at all in 2 weeks. I must say my left foot, the one with PF, is feeling much better but also its been a motivation thing too.  Just haven't felt motivated and needed a break I guess.  Hopefully will get back on the wagon soon.

Today I go see my eye doctor.  Hopefully he'll say everything still looks great.  I do notice a little bit of a difference in my vision but nothing that would stop me from doing anything.

Not much else to report.  Hope everyone has a good day!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hey everyone, it's sunny here for the most part, rain coming later so I took 2 outside walks on the trail, and did my Total gym and bodyblade.

Just finished a batch of Italian wedding soup, its' really good, and made a big pot to share with dad.  Any left over I"ll freeze.  Soup weather is approaching.

Foxxie and MickD- yes to the grocery store saga's.   I mean seriously lets leave our cart angled and walk down the isle and oh yes ,  lets visit with someone  LOL...I have said when they seem oblivious to them, " excuse me, angled parking isn't allowed"  Hahaha  some chuckle and others look ticked off at me...Don't care, don't do it!   I have even put carts back in the cart return in the parking lot because lazy people unload their carts and just drive away.  Now how long does it take to return the cart...  Okay better get off this topic.

I'm enjoying the new T shows at night.  Survivor tonight, we love that and all the Chicago Fire, PD, and Med...recordig all those.

I put 1 of my fleece sheets on the bed last night, the fitted sheet and kept the cotton on on the top still.  It's going to be in the 40's at night and some 30's so thought I'd put the fleece one on.  It's chilly crawling into bed in cotton sheets.  Need to take the AC out of the window too, its in the only window we have in the bedroom and I like to crack the window at night.

Any how, not much else here, Judy glad you checked in.  It's okay to take a break, just get back on when you can.  Hope your eye appt. goes well.

Nomless thinking of you, check in when you are able..

Dr. Kelli, Laura, Toni ( yes I still think of you), Lucy ( you too) hope everyone is well.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Power class is complete.

Adonis apparently couldn't tear himself away from his bathroom mirror.  He was a no show.  As was Ms. Rudeness who apparently finally did a real routine with the bar and hasn't been seen since.

Nudie must have gotten a stylist because she's become boring.  It's still hot here and she's all covered up.  My eyes are thankful but it was like a drinking contest waiting to see what body part was naked today.

Congratulations @Mmsfoxxie and thank you for volunteering.  I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

GM all!  Oh what a beautiful sleeping night it was.

@Laura14, thank you, I’m really looking forward to starting next Wednesday.  I’m so excited that I already spray starched and ironed the smock that I have to wear.  Now I have to find a pair of pants to wear that fit their dress code.  Can’t be jeans, snug, trendy or a bright color.  Blouse can’t be red or any bright or have a plunging neckline.  I already took off my hoop earrings.  This is a Catholic hospital.

Zumba Tone this morning!  I’m going to try and use three lb weights or more during the whole session.  I using use 2, 3, 4 and maybe 5 lbs depending.  I sometimes have shoulder and neck issues so I don’t like heavier weights.  Instructors have said I need to go for more than one session to see how my shoulder reacts with than one session.

Everybody have a great day.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hey all, it's cold and rainy here.  I did walk early this morning on the trail and it was lightly raining then but I dressed properly and took Logan and we went around the trail 2 times.  Then did 35 minutes on TG, and used the BB for 12 minutes following Rosalie and Bruce.

Making apple bread now, house smells nice.  Haven't turned on the furnace yet, hubby jokes why use the heat when I generate my own....  LOL....  Just sayin ladies!!

I'm missing my soaps this afternoon with this hearing thing going on,,,I know I should be more interested but they have it on so many channels..

Not much more here, foxxie it's so cool you are almost ready to do your volunteering, I think that's super cool that you are doing that.  You will be good at it too.

I sure hope this rain stops, I want a nice weekend...but no control over that I guess.

I put my fleece sheets on the bed, so cozy...Any way hoping everyone is having a good day and doing well.   See ya around the block!
